For that reason, this page separates the 2,091 catalog entries from the 1,481 distinct product records in the September 30 catalog snapshot.
Safer Choice is a voluntary EPA label. A listing indicates that the product was evaluated against the program's standard, not that it is the only appropriate option for every cleaning task. Always follow a product's label and surface-care instructions.

Catalog statistics above were counted from the EPA's public Safer Choice product catalog on September 30, 2026. The catalog itself was updated October 20, 2026, but the searchable page does not publish a total count, so the catalog snapshot remains dated rather than estimated. Counts for product type, use category, fragrance-free status, outdoor-use status, and company partner are based on the fields shown in that catalog. The EPA's own note about duplicate entries is reflected in the context above.
The fiscal-year figures come from EPA's Safer Choice Performance Measures, updated in January 2026. They report program activity for fiscal year 2025 and should not be read as a live catalog count. This refresh corrects the FY 2025 certified-product total and adds four additional EPA measures.
